La intimidad de los hijos e Internet

Publicado en: La Nacion 17/08/09 En los últimos días, la opinión pública no ha dejado de conmoverse con noticias sobre el mismo tema y de similar gravedad: el hecho de que muchos adolescentes caigan en las garras de perversos que utilizan Internet para ponerse en contacto con ellos, y así engañarlos y someterlos a abusos. En la Argentina, pocas semanas atrás, se conoció el caso de una niña de 12 años que fue violada por un supuesto amigo (que ella creyó de su edad, pero que tenía 23 años), que la engañó a través del chat. Recientemente, desde estas columnas, en el editorial "El e-mail y los menores de edad", se había comentado el fallo que autorizó a los padres a revisar o controlar los e-mail de sus hijos menores como parte de las responsabilidades inherentes al ejercicio de su responsabilidad paterna. Como decíamos allí, el correo electrónico es parte, actualmente, de la realidad cotidiana de cualquier persona y de cualquier grupo familiar. Y, en el caso de los niños y de los adolescentes, por ser "nativos digitales", en contraposición con la mayoría de los adultos que los rodean, su capacidad de utilizar las nuevas tecnologías (sobre todo, el chat y las redes sociales) hace que dependan aún más de ellas y que estén más expuestos a los riesgos que conllevan.

None can forget the arrest of Avneesh Bajaj, CEO, Baazee.com (now ebay.co.in) regarding the sale of MMS of DPS scam or the parliament attack case but these proceedings either happened in regular courts or specialized panels were setup for them. None of which is suitable and possible for all cyber crime cases.
