The Latin-American Observatory of Violence in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) is a pioneering initiative in this area. It aims to be a multidisciplinary and transnational arena for the meeting and linkage between researchers, educators, managers and other professionals interested in understanding and analyzing new forms of violence spawned by ICTs, as well as a place where anybody interested in the topic can find information.
ICTs are part of a continuum of technologies that can be used to document and disseminate various situations of violence. The Observatory intends to create a wide network of experts and interested people in the area in order to make it possible for this issue to be explored in all of its complexity.
