The Latin-American Observatory for Technology in Education aims to promote studies, research and discussions on the use of new technologies in education. The Observatory serves as a center of study and work that allows for observation and critical, continuous and systematic analysis of the evolution of educational issues in order to identify and analyze situations, contexts, events and processes, thus enabling an increasing accumulation of knowledge about the theme.

We want the Observatory to be an arena for meeting and coordination among researchers, educators, managers and other professionals interested in understanding and analyzing the use of new technologies in education. ICTs are part of a continuum of technologies that can support and enrich immeasurably the process of learning, geared to the development of a true Knowledge Society.
